Great experience of a scheduled maintenance for my car. Engineers's work was efficient and the car was carefully washed.

Its my 4th car from that dealership in last 4 years. Always professional, fast and right on point.

This was a recall for a software update. The LAST recall included a software update that was supposed to make over-the-air updates possible. What happened to that? The letter I received indicated it would take up to 4 hours. I booked online, and figured I'd just wait around and work remotely til done. When I got there, the service manager said they've NEVER had these upgrades take less than 6 hours, and they frequently fail and require a "module" replacement before the upgrade can be completed, sometimes taking as long as 3 or 4 DAYS. Not only that, but the cars that came in Friday still hadn't finished (this was Monday), and my car couldn't be started until they were done. Someone might have told me to hold off...? I'm a software engineer, and I can tell you that a professional software company would NEVER deliver an upgrade that could fail so commonly. It speaks of poor quality and especially poor quality assurance. I appreciated the service department providing a rental car, but my wife has medical conditions which prevent her from driving most cars safely, and she needed to pick up grandkids and go to work. I would have forgone this recall if I'd known I couldn't have the car back the same day. Ultimately this 4-hour service took 3 days. (The previous recall took 4 days, so maybe this is an improvement?).

The agent was flexible to allow me to take my car in a day earlier than the scheduled day as my 2018 Tiguan went into limp mode two days earlier. I believe VW did an accurate assessment of the issues with the vehicle and some of the repairs were under warranty.

The recall letters said the service duration will be 4 hours, the service advisor said it may take a few days, it took an entire week and a loaner wasn’t offered early on.

Very smooth and transparent process. No high pressure sales tactics. Knowledgable sales person.
